چکیده

Recent reports of the detecting of ferromagnetism and superconductivity in ruthenium-cuprates have aroused great interest. Unfortunately, whether the two antagonistic phenomena coexist in the same space in the compounds remains unresolved. By employing the magneto-optical-imaging technique, ferromagnetism and superconductivity were indeed directly observed to coexist in the same space in RuSr2(Gd0.7Ce0.3)2Cu2O10 within the experimental resolution of ∼ 10 μm. The observation sets a length scale limit for models proposed to account for the competition between ferromagnetism and superconductivity, especially d-wave superconductivity, in this interesting class of

Superconductivity induced by phosphorus doping and its coexistence with ferromagnetism in EuFe2(As0.7P0.3)(2).

We have studied EuFe2(As0.7P0.3)(2) by the measurements of x-ray diffraction, electrical resistivity, thermopower, magnetic susceptibility, magnetoresistance, and specific heat. Partial substitution of As with P results in the shrinkage of lattice, which generates chemical pressure to the system. It is found that EuFe2(As0.7P0.3)(2) undergoes a superconducting transition at 26 K, followed by fe...

Coexistence of ferromagnetism and superconductivity in iron based pnictides: a time resolved magnetooptical study

Ferromagnetism and superconductivity are antagonistic phenomena. Their coexistence implies either a modulated ferromagnetic order parameter on a lengthscale shorter than the superconducting coherence length or a weak exchange coupling between the itinerant superconducting electrons and the localized ordered spins. In some iron based pnictide superconductors the coexistence of ferromagnetism and...

Direct observation of spontaneous weak ferromagnetism in the superconductor ErNi2B2C.

Neutron measurements show that superconducting ErNi2B2C (T(C) = 11 K) develops antiferromagnetic spin density wave magnetic order (T(N) = 6 K), which squares up with decreasing temperature yielding a series of higher-order magnetic Bragg peaks with odd harmonics. Below T(WFM) = 2.3 K where magnetization indicates a net moment develops, even-order Bragg peaks develop which low field (approximate...

Signature of coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism in two-dimensional NbSe2 triggered by surface molecular adsorption

Ferromagnetism is usually deemed incompatible with superconductivity. Consequently, the coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism is usually observed only in elegantly designed multi-ingredient structures in which the two competing electronic states originate from separate structural components. Here we report the use of surface molecular adsorption to induce ferromagnetism in two-dim...
